Centos (Community Enterprise Operating System) has always been my preffered Apache server.

Based on HREL from Red Hat, it is the most stable of the free distrobutions making it a very scalable LAMP (Linux Apache Mysql PHP) system with all the best software the Open-source community has to offer.
